WHAT: Murder Mystery at Pokagon State Park is a weekend getaway for women during which you will join others to write a mystery, set on location in the beautiful, wooded park. We begin by creating the characters who will form a pool of potential sleuths, allies, suspects, murderers and victims. Throughout the retreat we’ll draw on past experiences, current imagination and the collective unconscious to build a murder mystery.

WHERE:
Pokagon State Park in Angola, Indiana

WHEN: Thurs., Sept. 25, 7 p.m. -- Sun., Sept. 28, noon.

WHO: The 2008 Murder Mystery Weekend is open to women of all ages. No experience necessary! Writers and non-writers alike will benefit from the creative energy.

HOW MUCH: Registration is $150.

DEADLINE: Registration due Aug. 25, 2008. Space is limited! Register early to reserve your place-- and get an early-bird discount!

WHY: Jump into the fun of mystery! Immerse yourself in a place of beauty, friendship and creative play. Using the power of your own imagination, transform old experiences and past relationships into something new. If you are already engaged in the writing craft through memoirs, mystery or in another genre, this weekend will give you an experience of collaborating on a story you couldn’t have created by yourself.
